Centre Street's mission is to provide families within our community with consistent access to nutritious food in a dignified and sensitive environment. As many as 85 families shop each time we are open and more than 20 new families come to us each month. Our shoppers are from Newton, Brighton, Watertown, Waltham, Needham, Wellesley, West Roxbury and Brookline. Centre Street receives no funding from the City of Newton or from the state of Massachusetts. We depend on the graciousness of our community members to help us keep food on our neighbors' tables.
